Hammering my budget

So, after a very considerable time of trying to figure out whether it is worth the money, I couldn’t resist it and made up my mind.
Forget about the third-party lenses. No Tamron, Sigma or Tokina lens for me.
A Nikon it will be for the very first dedicated lens I will own: a macro.

So, I went out, and spent a full 2 years of saving my birthday money on this baby:
A Nikon AF-S VR 105 f/2.8G IF-ED Micro

I’ve got just the next thing to say. It’s awesome. Nothing less. And expensive.
Lest not forget: heavy. It’s quite the beasty there. But I LIKE!

Barcelona 2010

In the early parts of October, we took a week off to celebrate being able to take a week off and all the hard work we’ve been doing the past year.
The journey took us and a dearly befriended couple to Barcelona, where we stayed for 6 days to eat, drink, sleep and gaze upon everything that makes this city special.

Sunday, we went all the way to here to get two new additions to our household.

They’re about 6 weeks old (young) now, and very frisky all around.

Well, you could’ve figured it out by now, after my previous post about new LR-settings and a D90, here’s the official announcement:

I bought a new camera!

It’s the D90, combined with the 18-105 kit-lens, and the magnificent Nikkor 70-300 f/4.5-5.6G AF-S VR IF-ED.

Holiday in Greece – part 1

It’s been quite a while since we’ve returned from our holiday to Greece, and I’ve been very busy editing the raw pictures I’ve taken.

In total, there’s over 2000 photo’s that needed attention, which was reduced to 1850 due to the crash of my HDD and the incomplete restore from my memory cards. Of those, the following made the cut for posting here.

BTW: There’s 117 pics in total, so I’ve created several post-sets. Here’s the first 40!
