Far away from home
This week has started really early for me, as I got into my car at 05:45 this morning to go to Groningen. For those wondering how far that would be for me: pretty far!
I’ll be here for three days, and two nights. All I can say is that Groningen is a pretty city, I hope I can stroll through the town tonight to take some pictures of the scenery.
Nice start to your career. “Just put ’em in the worst location we have!” Only like… 3-4 hours traveling time for a single trip?
Man, that’s just a moronic way to treat a newbie in my opinion.
Heh, I would like to add I volunteered to go up here. 😉
Indeed, it’s a 3.5 hour trip (one way) but worth it. The client has both a) an interesting organization and b) a nice infrastructure (with ESB and semi-mature SOA)
Even though that is the case, they still have pretty funny thoughts on some topics, so it’s nice to see the practice does not comply with the theory. 🙂 In fact: they are pretty far away.
BTW: it’s not the worst location… 😀
